Prettiest Places to Visit During Fall in Calgary

By Roslyn Kent

Fall is a short-lived season in Calgary, but an absolutely stunning one none-the-less. Take advantage of the beautiful leaves and trees and their fabulous amber hues before the snow appears!

  • Confederation Park

Located between the neighbourhoods of Mount Pleasant, Capitol Hill, Collingwood and Highland Park, this park spans 400 acres, which means lots and lots of fall foliage.

  • Prince's Island Park

Or anywhere along the Bow River for that matter. The contrast between the strikingly blue water and the amber trees makes for impeccable photos in the fall.

  • Bowness Park

Endless canopies of trees painted with golden reds, yellows, browns, and greens.

  • River Park

Located on the ridge above Sandy Beach and has a large designated off-leash area.

  • Duck Pond Near the University of Calgary

This is a student favourite and a not-so-secret spot near the U of C, just off of 24th ave right before the Ronald McDonald House. Quaint, quiet and serene in the fall.
